Yea I know what you mean. My 7800 ProLine controller lost its clickyness in the shooting trigger. I've attempted it but it just feels terrible especially with Desert Falcon.
I recommend the Seagull78 adapter to use 2 buttons on Sega stuff. I used a Sega 3 button. With the adapter B is shoot and C is the special items.

👍 yea its one of the main reasons I wanted 7800, and it didn't let me down!
I'd call it an Atari exclusive since it's on 2600 and XE, but this version is exclusive to 7800 as it's the most impressive of the 3.
The 2600 is obviously missing alot but XE is close, just smaller sprites and oddly worse sound imo.
At first glance the 7800 ver seems to have the same sound as 2600 but I did a small comparison video showing the intro tune is actually faster, more up beat than 2600.

There's also alot more sounds going on since there's alot more action. Which all makes sense since the 7800 runs the Tia chip at a faster speed than 2600.
Edit: the XE seems to have less sprites than 7800 as well but I haven't seen anyone get too far in expert mode.
Maybe someday I'll try that version too.
7800 has tons of enemies flying at you at once instead of just a couple at a time

I know 3 birds is quick fire.
But that's all I've memorized so far lol.
I sometimes try to go for 3 of a kind, but it gets so hectic I still usually just grab whatever when I can. Since im going for points I don't mind since most combinations just give you points.
Edit. I just looked it up.
3 eyes gives you a decoy. So I'll remember that one as well. Decoy is a good one as the enemies won't aim at you during that power.

This is one game that's really deservith of the "SUPER CARTRIDGE" lable.
Crazy amount of sprites, "especially the harder difficulties" and Super fast "especially with the Speed Up power pick up" it really does some blast processing lol. and all with no flicker.
