When you play a game so many times it begins to feel natural. Is when the real fun kicks in.

πŸ‘ yup. Only took me 2 hours of replaying a 3 min game over and over to do it lol. Was worth it though

Car 5 - Blue
"fastest car, but worst handling."
Great for drifting but hard to master.
The wheels don't have much traction, which is why there's an almost constant skidding noise. "or bad sound emulation"

When i saw the best records were being done with the slower high grip cars, I figured if I could learn the faster slippery cars then I'd be able to beat them.
Just did. New world record.

Too bad I'm not on an original Intellivision, but maybe someday.

---------------------

This game is mis-understood with bad reviews and terrible slow grass driving longplays.

It doesn't seem like the cars turn much but this is why you have to learn and angle every corner perfect. Or a controlled drift with the faster cars. It takes it to a whole new level.

To drift you need to hold the downward direction along with your turn for a super sharp turn. It makes the car slide. I wasn't cautious and spun out many times. Lots of re-starts.

But master that and you can wip around corners with little to no braking.

I may have got the Twin Galaxies / Lvlup best here but I see there's still much room for improvement. The drift turning can be done much faster. I slowed down out of fear. I'm only just starting to learn this wild beast.

Quite the lil adrenaline rush.
Knowing the course and hitting the turns just right feels amazing.

This is secretly the world's first drift racer, people just don't know it yet.

There's comments under bad reviews saying "but it was fun back in the day", well guess what it still is fun if you have the time and patience. It offers more challenge than any top down racer I've ever played.

All this time I've put in I still haven't attempted learning the other courses.
Memorization isn't my best skill.
With such a short draw distance combined with difficult steering, memorization is needed. It'll just take time.
