"Because of certain buttons not working, it takes 3 controllers to do a Novice game." Luckily between all of them I have the buttons I need :)

Wico controller - (used to play,
"2 working fire buttons for fast/slow and snappy spring loaded joystick")

____________

Novice takes away the danger sparks, meaning there's no real rush to move.

So this is alot chiller than the other modes. But it does get intense when lives are low and you're trying to cash out on the multiplier.

Split the Qix twins to gain multiplier. Each split ups the multiplier.

To cash out on the multiplier you must box the 2 Qix together.

The higher the percentage the more points for the multiplier to multiply against.

With Novice a 50% screen will end the stage. So in order to go beyond that 50% you'll need to cut the grid careful to make your final cut a large fill in.. if its only filled 50% on a twin Qix catch, you basically lose the entire gathered multiplier.
