This must be a hack of something.
Searching turtles nes hack just leads to a bunch of Ninja Turtle stuff which have nothing to do with this game.
Except for the main character sprite being turned into a Ninja Turtle and the enemies look like bombermen.
Has a typical well done NES soundtrack, and gameplay.
The goal is to collect all the sand piles without getting touched by the enemies. This makes a ladder appear to climb to the next stage.
Score is only counted and shown between stages.
You run, climb 🪜 ladders and across poles .. as well do the enemies.
A small section of ground can be dissolved on your side to briefly trap the enemy or to uncover escape paths.
Extremely challenging.
Equal puzzle and action elements, takes fast thinking and smart decisions.. and most importantly tons of retrys because if you're like me it took 10 Game Overs before I even passed the 2nd stage.
Move over Ninja Turtles...
The regular Turtles are in town.
