That honestly didn't make sense. If they had more than one button, why not use what was available instead of sticking everything into a single button?

If I recall right, it does recognize 3 buttons, but games rarely took advance of more than one button.

I didn't know the Amiga even recognized two button joysticks.

I got used to those controls (up to jump, up to climb ladders). That's why I suck on PS1 Rainbow Islands etc. which uses button to jump :-) There's nowadays patches on some Amiga games to use second button to jump etc. but I still tend to use only one button...

One thing I never liked about the Amiga and Atari ST is that they only have one joystick button, which leaves me to wonder how they handle jumping in games like this?
