The Commodore 64 version of the official port of Galaxian is surprisingly poor. Everything is there that you would expect, but the game lacks any form of polish. The attack patterns of diving aliens are pretty basic and similar, lacking the more exciting gameplay and challenge of other versions. The VIC-20 version is better in this regard! The game also suffers from terrible slowdown at points as well, followed by a corresponding speed up, which really messes with your head.

Still, it is ok to play, it's not a complete disaster.
