Astro Warrior was a decent vertical shooter at the time it was released for the Sega Master System. I had this as a combo cartridge with Pit Pot - in fact I still have the cartridge. Like many such games, it hasn't aged particularly well, but I still enjoy playing it. It is quite a small game with only three levels and end bosses, after which it loops back to the beginning again, but harder. There are several powerups to collect along the way, increasing speed, firepower and giving you some sub-fighters.
This run was made using Kega Fusion 3.64 on PC running at 60 fps. The date was 27th February 2022 and the score reached was 241,700.
