Ah, yeah that's my main complaint about Sony PS controllers! 4 buttons for the dpad.

The buttons feel very cheap but they're nice and clicky. What I like best about the Performance GamePad is its dpad. It feels and looks more like a Sega Genesis dpad. It's a circle with 8 directions instead of the Sony that looks more like 4 buttons.

Also fyi this is actually the Performance "GamePad Colors"
I also have a standard grey original Performance GamePad, which is the same except the dpad is raised a bit higher and the plastic feels a bit cheaper, but I've liked that one as well. I even did a small review on it for youtube. https://youtube.com/shorts/umZnGAaxPTQ?feature=share
But if your going to get a Performance GamePad try to find a GamePad Colors, as they are slightly better, "and also come in cool colors like my dark green one"

I found both of mine at used game stores for under 5 bucks. It's definitely a cheapy 3rd party but much more clicky than the Sony.

Edit: the "Colors" variant also has Auto Fire

How's that Performance gamepad compared to a Sony controller?
