In order to celebrate 40 years of the ZX Spectrum, in April 2022 I will be playing mainly ZX Spectrum games - and if I can put up with it, only ZX Spectrum games from 1982!
Centipede is a clone of........Centipede. Released in 1982 by DK'Tronics, it was one of the earliest ZX Spectrum games and will run on the 16K machine. Fairly straightforward in style, it features the centipede, mushrooms and a spider that patrols your movement zone. Scorpions and fleas are missing, which is a shame. Despite it's limitations, it provides a fun game due to it's frenetic pace.
This run was made on the 18th April 2022. The emulator is EightyOne. The final score was 5,755 points. This is a game from the UK so the correct frame rate is 50fps.
