An alright clone of Atari's Desert Falcon.
Except you can't land.
Special items such as invincibility are found by shooting down purple fighter planes, they drop them to pick up. B button activates item.
Slow down increases with each stage, by stage 3 sprite flicker becomes noticeable as well.
Desert Falcon and Aerial Warfare have many sprites + enemies with all their shadows.. really too many for NES to handle. "My Arcade is an NES emulator."
I have a feeling this is Desert Falcon for Atari 7800 but hacked.
Stage transition effect, the amount of bullets you can fire, boss battles, and the flow of your movement to get by is nearly identical.
Shoot the boss at its weak spot to destroy, just like the sphinx in DF.
Hords of enemy fighter planes attack you. Missiles take their place once close to the big boss.
Your shadow as well as the enemy's help determine height depth.
Very challenging.
Imo slowdown is welcome, gives more time to think.
I'm a fan of slowdown in shmups. π π¦₯
It speeds up if you let off the fire button, but youl want to hold it down most of the time as it autofires 4 shots at once.
