Monaco Master is a homebrew game from Louis The Sega Nerd and written in 2023. It was entered in the SMS Power! Coding Competition 2023, finishing 5th.

This game is simple in concept but nicely produced, with a title screen, game over screen and high quality tunes with FM sound. The aim of the game is to dodge the other cars on the vertically scrolling track. Your controls are only left and right, so it is not hard to get to grips with - but difficult to master! It is reminiscent of the TomyTronic 3D Thundering Turbos handheld game from the early eighties.

There are three game types:
Type 1 has normal, random traffic.
Type 2 has the cars often appearing in side-by-side pairs.
Type 3 has cars appearing in side-by-side groups of three or even four.
In addition, the Difficulty can set to Normal or Master. The game is faster and harder in the Master setting.

This run was made using Kega Fusion 3.64 on PC running at 60 fps. The date was the 8th May 2023. The game mode was Type 1 / Normal and the score reached was 600 points.

Time stamps:
00:30 Main menu. Game Mode is Type 1 and Difficulty is Normal.
00:35 Selecting car colour and background music.
00:39 Game start.
01:19 Crashed into the car at my side. Game Over. Final score 600 points.
