Thanks. Yes a sorry story of too little a machine, too late - a bit like the Aquarius. A few years earlier it might have had a bit more success, but I don't think it would have got far. A brave attempt to do something different (a cheap machine, using FORTH as its language).

Fish + Flutterer is a compilation tape of two simple games for the Jupiter Ace released by Jupiter Cantab in 1983. Both games were written by William Vincent.
The game here is Fish. Move your fish up, down, left and right to get the food particles into your mouth. There is a hidden time limit of 1 minute. The current is constantly flowing from right to left and if you go off the screen it is game over so be careful. A very simple game, like many on the Jupiter Ace which was a very simple machine itself. It resembled the ZX81 in it's hardware, but used FORTH as the inbuilt programming language. It was quickly overtaken by much better machines and production was short. The fish graphic is quite well done, and the animated mouth is a nice touch, but in reality playing this game today is for historical interest only!
This run was made using the Pantheon Emulator. The date of play was the 6th December 2023 and the score reached was 50 points.
