Video Pinball is a pinball table for the BBC Micro and Acorn Electron. It was released by Alternative Software in 1988. This was a budget re-release of an earlier game, Arcade Pinball by Microbyte of 1983, but Alternative did at least convert it to run on the Acorn Electron as well.

No surprises that this is a pinball game, but also no surprises that being of a 1983 vintage, that it is also very basic. The table is fairly simple, with four bumpers, a five lane rollover BONUS section and a Bonus lane on the left. The physics can only be described as......interesting! The game does allow up to four players to play.

The author does not appear to be known, but the game is a typical standard for early 1983. It is amazing to see how far games had progressed by 1984, leaving this behind.

This run was made on the 24th November 2024 using the BeebEm emulator on PC. The score reached was 48,600 points.
