Play the game in 1 player mode with default settings. It is allowed to make a game account and use your saved (upgraded) car. Entering a unique player code on the keypad saves game progress to return to your car. On emulation we recommend Teknoparrot. |

I wouldn't have guessed this was part of the Cruis'n series. Nor would have known the series went on and even more on arcade. I still should give a shot at Cruis'n USA on N64. But the more you know, maybe I'll find an arcade like that and remember to double tap. Cheers.

No I haven't, I suppose next time I will. I wonder if there's any advantage to it. Some games manual goes faster such as Daytona USA.
Fast And Furious here is really just the 4th game in the Cruis'n series.
Cruis'n USA, World, Exotica, and then this came out with the same gaming style as Exotica, the double tap on the accelerator does a wheely for air time bonus just the same. They aren't very realistic and you end up in 4th gear very quickly so it never crossed my mind to try manual. I really should though just for the heck of it.
But yea everyone knows the Cruis'n games, but because of the popularity of the Fast and Furious movie they gave the next entry that title and added a nitro button.
It's an excellent game. There were 2 or 3 more releases under the Fast And Furious name, and then they went back to Cruis'n with Cruis'n Blast that keeps the nitro from F&F.
