Breakout is an arcade game for the Oric-1 48K. It was released in 1983 as a double game with 3D Maze.

Having a version of the Atari classic arcade game was mandatory for all computers of the early 1980s and most of them were graced with several versions. IJK released their version along with a maze escape game called 3D Maze. These were still early days for home computer games and the ability to play games at home was still a novelty.

This version of the game offers several wall types, game speeds and progressive wall options. Other than that, it is fairly ordinary - it does what it says on the box and gives you a playable version of Breakout. The extra options make it more akin to Atari's 1978 follow on, Super Breakout, than the original game.

This game was played using an Oric-1 48K emulated in Oricutron. The game image has some corruption, as you will see from the instruction screen but plays correctly. The date of play was the 5th April 2026. Options selected were Single Wall, Start Level 0 and Normal Progressive.
