Haha. No probs. When you start the first ball you can select whether you play the events, once you can trigger them ;), in order of the appearance in the movie or by selecting them yourself.
in Single Player, you can use and select the upgrades as this is part of this game modus. Classic Single Player has no upgrades and also has smaller flippers and is more sensitive with nudging.
