General Rules: Left and right difficulty switch settings must remain in the B/Novice position throughout gameplay.
Must be played on a real 2600-compatible console or expansion module. Play with default settings unless otherwise specified. No code modifications that give the player an advantage over other players. No continues. No use of trainers, cheats, auto-fire (when not default present in-game) , game saves, or cheat codes. Can be overruled by the Specific Rules.
It is discouraged and may lead to voters not accepting your score to:
- excessively point farm
- use glitches or other game exploits

Note: Rolling the score while on the first scene resets the score back to zero, the level back to 1, and the lives used back to 1. Rolling the score while on the second scene resets the score back to zero, the level to 0, but the lives used remain the same.

Left difficulty switch setting must remain in the position indicated by the leaderboard category:
A/Expert: Start with 3 lives
B/Novice: Start with 5 lives

Right difficulty switch setting must remain in the position indicated by the leaderboard category:
A/Expert: Fast speed
B/Novice: Normal speed

It probably won’t matter, I don’t think too many people will have patience to roll this one. But you never know

Although the rules haven't changed, I suppose I could put something in the description that acknowledges the difference between rolling on board 1 vs board 2. The diff switches as per the rules give 5 lives to start, which remains in effect.
