Waku Waku 7 is a 1996 2D fighting game developed and published by Sunsoft in 1996. The game has a roster of nine characters (of which two are selectable only in the Versus Mode of the home versions) with wildly different fighting styles. Each character has a powerful, unblockable special move. A warning message flashes on the screen while the move is being charged, during which the opponent has a window of opportunity to interrupt the attack. Characters can be launched across the screen and attacked while on the ground. Downed fighters are able to dodge or attack while getting up.
