In Yie Ar Kung-Fu, a fighter named Oolong must defeat a variety of martial arts masters unarmed to win the title of "Grand Master" and honor the memory of his father, who was killed while fighting the current champion. Each opponent has a unique appearance and fighting style. Some rivals are also armed, with weapons including nunchaku, throwing stars and a club. Combinations of buttons and joystick movements enable the player to perform different types of attacks in jumping, crouching and standing positions.
