The difficulty switches in some Activision games have no function, and can be in ANY position like Frostbite and HERO.
Note that the difficulty switches on Activision Anthology for GBA are set to B/Novice by default.

All the regular games are B1, some Activision games like Grand Prix, have game variations, the you can see below in the Activision 1, Activision 2, Activision 3 or Activision 4. Games like Megamania have 1A variation, here yes, you must show the settings pausing the game.
