Astrian Descent - (sometimes listed as Lunar Lander in the Jupiter Ace community) is a Lunar Lander type game for the Jupiter Ace. Like all games in that style, you have to get your lander safely down onto a landing pad. The game was written by Brian Bates in 1983 and is an unreleased title.

The game is a little different to most over lander games in that your craft can only thrust slightly left or slightly right. This makes for quite a different style of play and a new challenge in this format. The landscape underneath you moves too, just to add to the fun. Asteroids orbit the sky as well, so dodging those is also required. Having played many lander games on many systems, the differences this one brought the genre was refreshing.

This run was made using the Pantheon emulator on PC. The date of play was the 20th January 2024 and the score reached was 530 points.
