lol no doubt with that.
I survived harsher times when I was a teen and we didn't have much money. no heat in winter, electricity cut because of unpaid bill. people survived 2000 years ago without all that, so we can too.

It's very dissapointing to hear such stories in 21st century that happens in one of the most powerful countries in the world...
But that's a life and your family keeps you going and overcome all the troubles, you will survive!!!
Things over here is no much better except the internet matter...
We must keep going and will see how it all ends...

that's almost that. Our governement don't care about people living in the countryside, that's why there is a major crisis these days with the elections,
We had a very bad storm this winter in our area, winds over 200km/h for several days and it broke a lot of things including power and telephone lines), we got lucky because it was repaired in 2 days for us so we recovered internet and electricity pretty fast. Some people had to wait 3 months to get services back because they live in remote area covered with woods, it wasn't easy for them.
We still suffer from this storm as some parts are still not repaired, sometimes, an electric line fail somewhere because of a dead tree or something and boom, power outage for people living in this area. I own a house surrounded by trees (it's not big anough to call it a wood, but still many trees around). We did what we could with our tools, neighbours helped a bit (we are 4 houses here, but 1 is an old couple, and the 3 others (myself included are disabled people), so we can't do much.
Still, power outages occured before the storm, they were just less frequent but at least 2 times a year, power is out for several hours, not counting the microcuts, which only last several seconds but still damaged your electronics (that's why I invested in special plugs which prevents electricity damages, and an inverter for my main computer so it's doesn't reboot or cut off when this happens.
The fact that we live at the end of the electricty & telephone lines don't help, when there is too much demand, we got nothing left, so it happens frequently that internet too is very slow (it is already, but sometimes we only have 50 or 100Kb/s).
I don't think it's sad, we live with that, it's how it is and we can't do nothing about that. It's just a bit annoying we can't have nice things :)

Very,very sad story my friend...
So, if you live in the country you are second rank citizen?
It's not fair at all but that's how it is...
If I haven't heard your story I would still belive that France is high-tech modern country...
Power-cuts in France in broad daylight?!?! Unbelivable!!!

once you get out of big cities in france, technology is rolling back to the early 2000.
I have shitty adsl, about 450Kb/s download and 80Kb/s upload, for TV, I'm forced to have a satelite dish, which costs 60€ / month. No 3G/4G antenna close (the closest one is about 5km away and we are out of range), so we can't use that either.
We also have regular power outage, almost every month we have several hours without electricty, the latest one was yesterday, no power from 8h30 to almost noon.
My sister was living in a very small village of 250 inhabitants 10 years ago and, though it was an exception, adsl wasn't even available, 56k or expensive satelite (140€ per month for 5MB/s download, which is, not so fast)
So people saying france is a modern country make me laugh, because it may be true in major cities where everything is available, but not in the country side.

I thought France is hi-tech country far away billons of years ahead of our eastern-europe countries but obvioulsly I was wrong...
My family pays 50 euros a month for hi-speed internet and cable TV, but fair enough it's middle-hi-speed internet of 150Mb/s download speed and 15 Mb/s upload speed and that is pretty good speed to cover all your needs on the internet...

no fast internet before 2025, maybe even 2026. France has slowed down the optic fiber deployment because they achieved 80% of the country being covered.
Last news I got we had some company to begin the deployment on our village area, so for now it's major infrastructure. I don't think they started yet to work on that, maybe in september, after that you have to wait a good year so they begin to deploy optic fiber in the streets and when they are done, another 6 months to connect house by house the ones eligible.
And, we're not even sure we'll got fast fiber internet after the end of all this. We may need to switch to satellite or 4G (but no antenna for mobile phone in my area, so it would be satellite, which is very expensive). so we may stick to adsl until the company removes the telephone line (which they already plan to do before 2030/2035). A real mess :)

Nice. I reckon I don't take the time to record and upload what I play outside of lvlup, mostly because I still have adsl and it's a pain to uuupload large video file (4GB = 24 hours upload ^^)
