I got "million" versions of adf images in my FS-UAE Launcher configuration and it must be there for sure...
Now I just checked, yes there it is!!!
Tommorow I will give it a go and try to make some decent score...

Which version you have used for this session, I want to improve my score too!!!
Don't you worry about that, I have finished with Lemon Amiga Competition due to few irritating people and don't want to go back there... I am looking from outside what stupid few last games they have played in the competition.... So, I am glad I am not a part of that anymore, many good players also stop their participation there due to "bad energy" in the compo...

I agree. It's definetly it's own thing.
I've only played the Mega Drive Lotus games, πͺ· in ways I prefer it over Outrun.
When I get into the Amiga emulation ill give all 3 a try.

Thanks! Don't tell anyone, but it's actually a very mediocre score compared to the LemonAmiga competition scores. The best players actually would get 130-140 million with this version and would finish it easily (the seconds you have left in the latter levels bring in big bonuses). But they've probably played tens of hours of the game.

the Amiga game that might be the closest to the first Lotus game would be XJ-220 in my opinion.
Mantalow
well, as I said, nothing looks more like a racing game that another racing game, but lotus 2 don't play at all like outrun, it's more tricky with all the traps on the road that you have to learn.
You really should play it to understand how it is the same, but still different.

the third is the same with more tracks variety and a track editor ! I really like lotus 3
Stevengton
First Lotus was it's own beast with split-screen multiplayer, opponents that actually race against you on the track for championship points, and the necessity to fuel your car mid-race. Unfortunately the second Lotus went the arcade way by dumbing down the gameplay and scrapping most of the things that made the original good. Though it definitely has its fans and some charm.

Well this was more about the design, the look of the levels etc. It was almost the same, but i get it, i think there was another game that used the same look in the arcade too.
Mantalow
the stage I struggle the most is the fog stage, because the road is really narrow. The desert stage is one of the easiest imo, the ice one can be tricky (especially the last check point)
Mantalow
I might take a deeper look into this and add a variation for the whdload version and sort scores if needed.
Mantalow
well, every racing game is a clone of outrun at some point :)
It's like saying every shoot'em up is a clone of space invaders.

I'm seeing a pattern with Amiga games. They seem to be clones of Arcade Games. This is a clone of Outrun.

Yeah, I messed around with the WHDload versions for quite a while, but they're all half-score, so ended up with the Goonies ADF.
Stevengton
Thanks, I'm really satisfied with it. It's a tough game and I had a bundle of luck to sneak by the snow and desert courses.
Mantalow
too bad, I think you are just missing the last stage (thunderstorm), still a very good score !
Beware though, because the whdload version score half the "normal adf version"

It was the first time I made it through the snow course and went right down to the marsh course. Pretty nice.
